How can Glean Groceries help me?

Glean Groceries helps people find more affordable groceries at a time when grocery prices are skyrocketing. Also, our service helps limit the number of groceries that end up in a landfill which emits methane gas into the atmosphere. 

How do I pick up my groceries? 

After reserving your items on Glean Groceries’ app, you must go to the specific store and show them your receipt and order number. From there, an employee will help gather your items.

Do I pay for my groceries on Food Squared's app or at the grocery store? 

Both. Customers will have the option to pay on the app or in the store when they pick up their items.

If I change my mind about the items I reserved, do I still need to pick them up?

No. You would complete a cancellation process by emailing info@foodsquared.com about the items you do not want and with your order number.  _____________________ add part to app that will allow cancelations.


How will this benefit my grocery store?

Our platform provides grocery stores with an opportunity to increase their revenue while also becoming a more sustainable business. This is because we help stores sell items that they would have typically lost money on and prevent those items from being thrown out.

Is it safe to consume groceries that are near or past their sell-by date?

Yes it is. Every food has a different timeframe after its sell-by date that it is safe to consume. We make sure that each item listed is within that timeframe.

What is the difference between a sell-by date and an expiration date?

A sell-by date is a recommendation for when a store should sell the product to ensure freshness, while an expiration date indicates the last date for optimal quality and safety for consumption.
